Veterinary Fees Are Doubling Every 13
Years
Today, I'd like to discuss veterinary costs.
I know, I know - it's not the most exciting topic to talk about, but
hear me out! (it is important)
Today, not only are humans living longer, but our pets are, too.
And today, pricey technology that prolongs our human lives can also
be used for pets. This can include everyday technologies like blood
transfusions, chemotherapy and medication. There is even a push
towards creating a national blood bank for dogs and cats.
But these advances for pets can and will come at a cost, because
veterinary fees continue to increase at an all-time high.
In fact, according to a decade-long study, veterinary fees will be
doubling every 13 years. This increase is much faster than the
average salary is predicted to increase.
This simply means that as our pets age and become more and more dependent on quality veterinary care, our ability to cover
those costs "out of pocket" will decline rapidly.
Worse, the veterinary industry - unlike the "human" health insurance industry - is under no pressure to keep health costs
down (as is the case with PPO/HMO organizations) which means,
unfortunately, that the sky is the limit.
Fortunately, even with all the specialization required to take care
of a pet, vet bills are still less expensive than an owner's
hospital bill.
The problem today is that too many pet owners are paying the entire
veterinary bill just because they don't have pet insurance.
In fact, only about .3 % of the cat and dog population was insured
for medical costs in 2006.
We at www.Pet-Insurance-Information.com
are out to change this and to help educate pet lovers about this critical need.
Taking care of our pets involves more than just being their companion and feeding and grooming them - it also involves being
there for them financially when a critical health decision is about
to be made.
When a pet is injured due to an accident or is sick due to a serious
medical condition, that is when Pet Insurance shows its real value
because you can cover the necessary medical care without blinking
an eye.
That's what I call peace of mind and that is exactly what Pet Insurance
gives you!

"Our last pet's health really went south as he got older. He needed testing, x-rays, cardio test, surgeries, daily meds, etc. Therefore, being very aware of the cost, we decided to try pet insurance this time around. Thank you for your assistance. I have selected insurance for my new puppy. Your website was a very useful tool to compare companies / polices. Thanks!"
